Now I have to ask, are you checking video of this, or just guessing your depth is suck? Only reason I ask is that I see a lot of guys who's depth is legal, but they ride themselves because they expect near ATG.

Do you have a recent video?

I agree with Steve. Get video to be objective. Some solid work in here. Madcow looks good.

Thanks guys!
I record my top 2 sets or top set at least on my phone to check depth and technique errors and the 95x5 had one or two reps that were a hair above parallel. The 110 set was excellent in comparison and I hit depth each rep.

I have tried the lowered bench route.
I actually don't need to record my depth these days as I know before I even look at the recording. For the set I was talking about, I was just bloody lazy and I knew it!

You wouldn't know I curled if you looked at my arms
It took about an hour.
82.5kg x 5 would equal a PR (I think) so that will be next.

Tuesday 3 July

Edited to reduce complaining

Squats used to be my favourite lift but weekly ass kickings and the occasional humiliation is testing my resolve.

Squats
60x5
72.5x5
85x5
95x5
110(242) x 5
Made the error of stepping back too far and hitting the pole thing behind me.

Bench
50x5
60x5
72.5x5
85x5
95(209) x 5
85 felt like a ton but I somehow managed to complete the 5 reps @95 which didn't feel as bad

Row
40x5
50x5
60x5
70x5
80(176) x 5
Difficult.

Weighted Dips + 25kg
2x5

Chins B/W
3x5

I preferred the unedited version.

Try not to focus too much on the perceived lack of progress on the squats

Through Smolov, I found that the mindset is very important when adding weight to squats

Been there done that.

Your dark days with squats will pass. You're going to wake up one of these days and hit a groove.
