Off road has some great points. When I have run 20 reps, I too ate like a pig. Felt like I never had enough.

I like the idea of working up slowly. As I mentioned, this program is humbling, patiently building keeps the humiliation at a minimum.

I ran 20 rep squats for a whole year. I cycled the weights about every 12 weeks though. Absolutely the best year of training ever. Took my squat from 100 x 20 up to 300 x 20. You can do them long term if you are smart about it.
