Being sick sure sucks on the long weekend - the unofficial start to summer. Have to admire your tenacity to at least give the training a shot. Hope your feeling better and soon!! It seems us lifters are never ill for too long.

Hey bud, take a little extra time and rest up. It will do you some good and you'll get back on PR pace in no time. You do some serious work on a regular basis, no need to try to push through if you're not feeling good.

Thanks J, and that's exactly how I felt. No reason to risk hurting myself.

Thanks, sometimes the worst you feel the better you lift. That was not one of those days!

Haha, thanks Jen I will try!

Thanks for all the support, very sorry I havn't been keeping up to date with your logs just been feeling really bad and have a lot on my plate right now with other things. I will try and look through everyones' log as soon as posssible!

5/28/12

Deadlift
565x1 got a second rep to the knees and fell back down/10pound PR
565x1 easy pull
565x0 not even a budge
505x3 Just working on grip, but these were really hard for some reason

Squats
365x6
365x4
365x3

Walk
2miles

Notes: Felt really bad all weekend and still not 100% today. Still a bit sore and couldn't breath at all, so I feel that took away from my usual psych up before a lift.

Just needed some time to think so did one of my favorite things, a 1a.m. walk through my neighborhood. Always does the trick of clearing one's mind, best I have felt in a while.

I think I am going to keep today just like this and just do the rest of it on Tuesday from now on, just easier and feels better.

I have a theory Mike
You just hit a PR, an all-time best for you, tried for a second rep and expended a lot of energy. I tell you now, failed lifts take WAY more out of you than successful ones and I think we all know that! You then hit the PR single again. 505 is still on the edges of 90% so doing it for a triple is never likely to be that easy. Even the Power Imp is not immune

Awesome work and congrats on the PR
Reading your log always inspires me and fills me with desire to lift heavy often but still remaining sensible in the long run.
