Haha I know how you feel. I just added "unloads" every 4-5 weeks for this meet prep bc I burned myself out the last meet I did. You will be happy you added periods to allow your body to catch up on recovery.

I have the opposite problem - when squatting I feel it is deep enough (just below parallel), yet when I watch the vids I am just slightly above parallel or just parallel.

Real solid post meet training as well.

Yeah I just need the rest, I'm not even sure if I'm going to use anymore weight this week. Just hoping to come bach next week 100%.

Thanks hazz, but that post-meet training is going to have to go on hold.

I just have a huge fear of being called for depth.

It's funny you say that and I will show you why below!

4/4/12
Squats
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1
275x1

Notes: Quads were very sore and traps hurt at first to put the bar on. I think trying to weight lift this week is just doing more harm then good, since everything this week has felt heavy. I'm just going to cool it and do some bodyweight and cardio stuff tomorrow.

For anyone wondering I had planned to do this
sumo deadlifts 2x10
Anderson 1/4 squats 8x1
Rackpull 5x1
side bends

I'm also wondering if it was the attempt at trying 4 days in a row or if it is still fatigue from my meet.

I thought it was mandatory or at least customary to take a week off from training after nailing it at a meet.

I reckon your issues this week prove that you are human after all!!

Every time I read your journal Mike, I cannot help but think about how great not only your present day lifting is, but about how your record breaking future is going to be, especially when you consider all the great lifters here who are in your corner.

Most do but last time I was back to normal after a few days.

Trust me feeling very human today, anyday I know I can't squat 350 is a day of rest.

Thanks squatter thats what I'm going for someday. With the help of all of you guys it may happen!
