Thanks SB, still not 100% sure what I'm going to do during my rest week. I thought about doing just some bodyweight stuff but may end up just doing nothing.

Thank you Mark, and trust me I wish I had the time to follow everyones' log too. To be honest I think it has been a while since I checked in on your log.

I did a different grip tonight and it helped a lot.

CHinatown, eh? That's downtown where the Verizon Center is right smack in the middle of everything. Get a Metro map, smart card, and Metro map and ride the rails wherever you want to go. Metro can get you just about anywhere, so when you find the gym you want just look for the nearest Metro stop for your stop. Gallery Place is the CHinatown stop, but Metro center is also close depending on where you are.

Usually, I caution people not to ride Metro at night, but you're a big fella, probably won't have any trouble.

Oh, but don't carry electronics in your hands, Ipod, phone, etc! Wacky kids snatch and grab all the time on the Metrostops. It's their Olympic event, I guess.
Thanks Mike, good to be called the imp again!

Also thanks a lot on the advice, not sure how much we will be riding the metro though. My parents think they will be able to walk everywhere.

Notes: Bench felt great, my Tng has just been moving so fast. My paused hasn't done much, but my Tng is just going up each week.

Chinups felt good tonight but didn't push it to hard just incase my shoulder started acting up. Back is still a little stiff from yesterday, so didn't get the arch I wanted.

For anyone interested for deadlifts on my new routine I'm going back to periodization I think. I was thinking going back to 3/5/1, but am open to any suggestions. I don't really want a peaking one though. (16 week cycles)

I have the best results with heavy singles on the deadlift. I'll pull once per week and either do multiple singles with a set weight (usually around 90%), or one heavy single for the day. Progression is done whenever the weight feels lighter.

The more you get used to pulling 3x bodyweight, the easier it becomes to replicate. I find that singles, or working heavier in general, allows for more "function" - if you will.

I like the idea of heavy singles. I like to do a solid tripple, then 3 progressive singles. Just what works best for me.

Thanks for the advice! I have used a singles program though and burnt myself out pretty fast on deadlifts, I am going to have a day once every few weeks were I do something like that.

I'm pretty sure I am going to do that in reverse.

Whatever works for you. I know I'd get burnt out if I was repping the deadlift all the time; some things work better for different people.

Strong training once again Mike - your squat are awesome

I am also a singles deadlift guy - I just hate repping them, but then again that is partially due to my tremors. The only problem is tho that they never seem to feel light
