Actually I havent felt this confident in at least a year. Knee feels good, training is going better than my expectations. I am holding out hope that I may be able to beat my best total ever (1109) just 4 months after knee surgery.

Default 8/18/2011 Cardio and stuff

SO today i housed a large pizza for lunch and felt pretty guilty about it. I was planning on taking today off, but guilt drug me to the gym to do cardio.

Elliptical-45mins total
resistance level 5 for 15 minutes
resistance level 7 for 15 minutes
resistance level 9 for 5 minutes
resistance level 7 for 5 minutes
resistance level 5 for 5 minutes
2 minute cooldown

Treadmill Intervals-20 minutes total Each interval was 1 minute
3.0 walk
5.0 jog
3.1 walk
5.1 jog
3.2 walk
5.2 jog
3.3 walk
5.3 jog
3.2 walk
5.4 jog
3.1 walk
5.5 jog
3.1 walk
5.6 jog
3.1 walk
5.7 jog
3.1 walk
2.5 walk
1.5 walk

Box Jumps:
18" X 5
24" X5X2
30" X5X2
36"X3 (Best jumps since surgery)

25lb Kettlebell swings-I was doing constant movements for an entire song on my ipod, then resting a song, then repeat. I just rotated through too many exercises to list just trying to keep my heart rate up for another 10 minutes or so. I need to find a kettlebell routine designed for cardio purposes and follow it.

Notes: Umm what? comes to mind about this workout. I had no plans on going to the gym, then end up doing 90 minutes or so of cardio? Anyway, happy with results, my conditioning is coming back to where it needs to be. I remembered my heart monitor strap, then forgot to start my timer like a dumbass so I have no idea how many cals I burned, but thats not important after a 2k+ calorie lunch.

I didn't do as well as I wanted, ended up with a 300 squat 245 bench and 405 Deadlift and first place. but everything felt rlly light and i know i could have done much better, mostly on deadlift.

Also that is a hardcore cardio session, all i do is some sprints lol

With experience come knowledge my friend. Next time you can open a touch heavier and make bigger jumps. I went 9/9 at my first meet and had a bunch in the tank. Next meet I went 8/9 and hit everything great. Third meet was 5/9 and got over confident with my jumps. I learned a lesson on that day that I will correct for the 27th.

I went 8/9, everything felt so light execpt DL. I only got 245 (I think kgs to pounds) but I could have gotten 265 with ease. Also good luck on the 27th, I think I might be competeing again in oct!

I will do some squatting today then just some bloodflow work the rest of the week. A full week off makes my joints achy so I still do some work, but its super light stuff.
