That's where I got the idea lookin at your log Jay. I just notice the weight always gets hard after the 3rd rep and my form goes south.

Just like on Bhtnp I started doing higher reps because that lift gets harder to get in position on lower rep high weight sets so I will keep working the 10 rep range and when I get all 10 reps for 3 working sets I will add weight .

I think many people have trouble staying tight for a lot of reps. It's very taxing on the whole body staying tight for lots of reps at higher weights. I've found this routine to be awesome for bench and military. Both my triple maxes to start are now a joke. The routine starts very easy, not that it isn't work. But you feel tempted to do more, however that doesn't last long, lol. The last two weeks I thought I'd miss reps, but so far I've manged all of them. Hope I keep nailing em!

Great workout even though I thought I would not have one .

I think since bench is a lift that you have to stay tight on and 3 reps seems to be the most I stay tight on , I might start doing 5 sets at 3 reps for these . Chest will get hypertrophy work while on boat for higher reps. What do you guys think?

Thanks Jay. I will try this next time on my next week off.
My boat work outs will be similar to this but using bowflex and higher reps along with chin ups and dips .

If you do want to run it, I'd suggest shooting mike a pm. He'll ask for your best triples on bench and military and give you a good starting point. another good thing at the start of it, you have plenty of juice for your other lifts. For whatever reason it's helped all my upper body lifts

ya, the Crew also told me once that 2-3 reps before having to reset tightness is about average. You can reset your tightness wile locked out and then do more reps, and reset again. One of the guys on the crew had me do this precise exercise with moderate weight a few times while he watched my tightness like a Hawk.

So, were you volunteered to do all the heavy cooler walks? What was the parade for?

I volunteered to carry the ice chest because. It was loaded with my beer

It's mardi GRAS Jim, we have all kinds of parades going on right now and Tuesday is mardi GRAS day . Aka Fat Tuesday

Warm up on elliptical for 5 minutes

Single leg squat on leverage machine
75x10+40 lbs
95 x 12+20 lbs
115x12+ 20 lbs

Bhtnp
135x10
155x10
180+5x10
180x8x2 will build these to 12 reps each set before moving up

Dead lift
185x5
255x5
350+5 lbs x 5

Chest dips
Bw+20 lbs= 260 lifted today dressed
15,12,12,10,9= 58 reps will add 5 lbs next time

Instead of dumbbell row I chose to try something different

V grip pull downs
120x10x3
110x15x1


Hanging knee lifts
15x2
Done in 55 minutes.


Good workout but the v grip pull down just don't feel like dumbbell rows so will just do those next time .
I will save pull ups for on boat and may do a 10 x 10 with db rows on boat .
