Only reason I ask was because of driving. A few years back I tore my right calf and the doctor wouldn't let me off work. I had no way of driving.

Sorry to hear about the ankle. Do you intend to take a complete break from lifting until the ankle heals up, or keep doing seated upper body exercises?

I worked my upper body last night. I had to use less weight so no leg drive was needed but still a good session.

Bhtnp
4x15x95( will go with more weight next time)

Seated bent over dumbbell row
4x15x35 lb kettle bell
Supersetted each set with single arm bench press
4x15x35 ( these were light but the kettlebell made them akward. Will use dumbbells next time)

Seated low cable rows.
4x15x125 underhand grip really had my biceps and Lats pumped. 125 on my tower is like 220 on a normal tower( ask squatter)

2x5 chin ups.

Was going to finish with dips but my wife was to nervous so I will ease into them next time.

This was actually a great pump, I'll go up on weight and do only 3 sets of each next time

Well more bad news , the break was not the only damage. Turns out I tore the ligaments holding the bones together . I have to do surgery Wednesday morning and will be off work for atleast 3 months. I have to stay with my ankle elevated above my heart until then to get the swelling down . It may be a while before I can get back to squatting and dead lifts, will do upper body again in a couple weeks or so.
Gl I can't go to work until fully released but I'm ok with that, I'm getting 100% of my pay
Not an ideal paid vacation but I will find a way to make the best of my time home.

My wife will remain on the push pull press routine and I will continue helping her . As long as she is lifting I can keep the motivation in the house. If she stops I don't know that we will be able to get started again for a while.

Surgery went good. Pain after has been pretty tough but I think my pain medicine is finally catching up with it.
Doc said to wait until he takes the stitches out in 2weeks before doing any lifting, I can already tell I'm getting soft. I'll have a lot of making up to do.
