Huge PR! Great news Brute.

It's good to see you nailing this while cutting. Very good sign. I build my deadlift from 375 to 475 while cutting 50 pounds. Whatever you're doing, keep it up.

Thanks guys. Paleo has been a better cutting platform than Atkins, by dropping out the modified low carb food and going strictly naturally available foods my overall well being has really increased and I've been able to gain small amounts of muscle while getting rid of some of this fat. Atkins was great when I was close to 400 pounds, but now I need something a little different.

And yeah, getting the second 415 locked out made my day. After the first shaky one, I wasn't convinced I could really lift it, but the last one sealed the deal for me.

Weigh in today. 253.8 Down .2 pounds. Not much, but after everything I ate last night, I'm impressed I lost at all. Headed into the next town over to do dinner with my parents and my pops had been smoking ribs all day. So I ended up eating

4 big beef ribs
1/2 rack of baby back pork ribs
12 oz new york strip
16 oz ribeye
mushroom and cauliflower "risotto" - worked surprisingly well

This is the problem with eating at my parents. They keep pushing food at me and even though I haven't lived at home for about 10 years, its almost impossible not to accept seconds/thirds, mom's 3/4 of the steak she didnt want, etc. Damn good food though, and picked up a few more smoked chickens for dinner tonight.

It's crazy how Paleo works sometimes. There have been days where I ate enough chicken wings to make a fat man sick and still spent the night flushing water and losign weight.

Bench day today went very well. A little nervous since my workout partner (aka my girlfriend who deadlifts more than most of the guys in the gym) had job interviews today, but was able to get spots on the last two sets so all was well.

Bench

190x5 - PR for reps last rep barely touched my shirt, but i'll still count it
205x1 - just wanted to see how it felt, and it felt light and controlled
120x10x5 - had to rest pause the last rep of the last set.

Thanks BtB. I've been looking forward to a 2 PPS bench ever since getting pinned the first time I tried to lift 135 thinking that if all these small guys could do it, then its gotta be super light.
