Thanks Mike! I had been doing the reverse for a while and doing deadlifts before bench took too much out of my back to stabilize myself, so I'm really enjoying the new setup.

Another big bench day. Soon I'll have more time in the morning as school is over next week, so I'll have more time for squats. I need more recovery time between bench and squats.

Bench
45 x 10
95 x 5
135 x 5
185 x 3
225 x 1 - can't believe this is a warmup weight now
240 x 1 -> a little shaky
240 x 1 -> solid
240 x 1 -> even lighter
240 x 1 -> kind of heavy
240 x 1 -> felt like I was going to get crushed, but got it back up.
210 x 4
210 x 4
210 x 2 - 10 reps, not sure if i want more weight or not next week

BB Row + 2 reps from monday
135 x 10
135 x 10
135 x 8

Squat
135 x 3
135 x 1
225 x 1
275 x 1
205 x 8
out of time

Front desk jockey asked me to show a new member around. Got him started on the Big 4 lifts, told him to always do 2 of them first, then he can do the fancy stuff. So far he's listening, but we'll see how it goes.

Crushing work Brute. And you're trying to bring new people into the light and away from the muscle confusion darkness

You get it. Way to nail them. I was a little nervous about seeing how this would shake out but you crushed it.

Thank Kuyt. I try to train them up in the way they should go, but most of them just want to curl the 15 pound dumbbells and look like Zyzz.

Thanks BtB. I was worried when I first loaded up 240, but I went through my pre-lift ritual, calmed down, and got it. 245 next week!

What I am wondering about is my reps. I'm thinking I might stay at 210 for reps until I get a few more, or maybe go up again next week. They're getting pretty rough. But then I think I'm overthinking it and worrying because the gap between reps and singles is staying at 30 pounds.

Do work BRUTE!!! Good session man. All those bench singles sound like fun!!

That's really cool that one of the Front Desk Monkey asked you too show someone around. To me that is a big compliment and shows they have respect for you and what you do.

I would probably stay at 210 and bring the reps up a bit. What's it going to hurt to get stronger in that range.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

PR attempts all around, 1 successful, 1 close, 1 failed hard.

Power Clean
95 x 5
145 x 3
185 x 1
205 x 1 - PR + 10 pounds
185 x 2
185 x 2
185 x 2 -> PR reps

Low Rack pulls
Bar x 5
135 x 5
225 x 2
315 x 2
405 x 1
455 x 1
505 x 0 -> moved it about 3 inches before it stuck.
455 x 1
455 x 1
455 x 1
455 x 1 -> going to work on singles for a few weeks, and go for another PR in a month or so. Singles + 10 pounds a week that I hit all 5.

Push Press
135 x 5
185 x 2
210 x 0, not really even close

Shut it down here. Getting very tired and not feeling too stable with the push pressing today. Next week, singles @ 195, reps at 160ish.
