THE CHALLENGE
250lbs x 100 reps in 10 min

Spent all day yesterday just getting my mind ready for this challenge because I wasn’t taking it lightly. Got to the gym:

Warmup: 5min
Seated calf raises: 4 x 15
Leg ext: 3 x 15
Squat: 135 x 10, 225 x 5, 315x 2
***Challenge***
250lbs x 100 in 10:01.62

First off, when I post the video I would like for everyone to grab their clocks, timers, stopwatches or whatever and time me. This is Florida and we have a problem when it comes to counting. Lol. I believe I finished under the 10min mark but the camera lady (wife) clocked me at 10:01.62.

I’ma post a second video that is normal speed. Please post your times when I get this video up because from the time I first lifted the weight to the last time I racked it, I don’t believe that it was over 10min

Now that I go that off my chest, lol, this was ridiculous. The first 40 reps were ok but it seemed like as soon as I got over the 50 rep mark blood begin to rush into my quads faster than Usain Bolt in a 100 yd dash. You’ll see in the video I immediately reached for my Modern BCAAs. Like instantly! Lol

I stuck in there and banged out 2 more sets of 20 but it was something about rep #95 that made me think for a split second that 5 more reps was impossible. But I was going to rep 100 or die trying.

After I racked the weight my quads were as hard as a bag of rocks! I just fell and rested. I didn’t know how much blood was in there until I stood up and walked over to were my wife was (3 steps). We sat there and talked and joked for about 10min then I decided to do about 15 min on the bike to help get some of that blood out of my quads…

This was a great challenge, I want to work my way up to doing the challenge with 275lbs and then with 315lbs.

I recommend that if you are reading this to take the challenge and go for it. Use whatever weight you believe to be decent and push yourself. You won’t be disappointed…

You''ll have to let us know how long that rock-like feel remains in the legs, were you sleeping on "rocks"?...last time I obliterated my quads, it really was like having permanent rocks for muscles for a few days until they normalised again...weird experience but cool at the same time.

Thanks 5k! My legs feel like noodles today. haha! And my glutes are on fire but it was worth the fun. I just hope it doesn't get any worst.. lol

Yesterday was chest. Nothing special there. I pushed 315 on incline a few times and 125's on DB flat bench. But i was lacking intensity. My gym is getting all new equipment starting next week so i'll be at a new location for a week, maybe a little solitude will help.

I do have some awesome news!!!

I'll be doing a videoshoot of my chest and back workout with Florida's own John Hawley of Muscle Development. John aka Musclepapa does coverage of all of Florida for Muscle Devlopment the magazine and website. I'll be meeting up with him next week to get some training footage to go up on the website.

Words can't explain how honored and stoked i am about this!!!
