Thank you OR. They are coming along well!

1 - 2 - 12

Clean & Push Press - 1x220, 1x230, 2x3x200, 3x2x210
Squat - 1x405, 1x415, 2x3x375, 3x2x390, 2x2x340 (pause)
Rows - 2x5x225, 1x5x235, 2x5x240
*Jump Rope 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (Minutes)

Notes

Power cleans felt good. Was lacking the strength to pull the bar up to where I usual pull it, but I found myself getting under the bar quickly which was a huge off set. Presses however just were not in sync. Timing was off big time which left almost every rep with a "long" pause before locking out. Not happy here.

Squats also felt off. Had a hard time getting my feet in the correct position and my descent was pretty slow (I want it pretty fast!). Speed of the ascents also felt VERY slow but upon video review, they were decent. 375's were tough but very manageable. 390 for 1 double is a PR, let alone doing it 3 times.

Despite the decent squatting, rows saved the day with how easy they were and of course the rep PRs at 235 and 240.

Trying out a little wave loading for the presses and squats... 1RM, 2x3x1RM-40 (press - 30), 3x2x1rm-25 (press - 20). As time goes on, will probably decrease the drops of the presses by 5lbs (-25 for triples, -15 for doubles). I Liked it, gets me a little heavier on the down sets but also breaks up the monotony of the previous 8x2xsame weight. Will stick with this basic set up and on "day 5s," if I'm feeling good, Ill add 1-2 more doubles. Pause work will be limited to 2 sets of doubles or triples and performed only if I have the time/energy.

... I feel like I'm changing the general plan every week, but as long as I get that daily max and a few heavy downs, I should be good.

I've been having the same foot issue lately. I keep telling myself to relax but it's hard when things don't feel perfect.

Interesting approach. I am a numbers geek and things like this get me going.

Good luck Pull.

The lifts might have felt a little "Off" but it didn't keep you from smashing it.

Appreciate it Swede. Its been tough, sometimes feels like a chore AND you have to get over the fact that weight is going to move up and down constantly. BUT I'm getting in a ton of work and hitting numbers close to PR's frequently.

5 Weeks? in and things are finally falling into place. Hoping once I get consistency of specific work finalized, daily's will begin creeping up. I'm also pushing my max a bit higher than a true "daily max," so I'm thinking a nice deload will show me some bigger increases.

Thanks Steve. Screwing up foot place can add to much time with a bar on your back. Some days are good, some day are horrible. But that is life.

I took the numbers from a Christian Thib's article on the bulgarian system, reprinted in Chaos & Pain. Two days in and I feel the triples set the groove for the following doubles, in a way making the doubles a little easier. Past that, I don't suspect it will be much of a difference than a ton of doubles OR triples... other than mixing it up and a change of pace.

1 - 3 - 12
Clean & Press - 1x180, 1x190, 6x2x175
Snatch Pull - 6x3x235
Chin Up - 4x8
*Rollout 4x8, Jump Rope 5x3 Minutes

Notes

Cleans & Presses felt awesome. 190 press however got way out in front of me which made the rep pretty difficult. Even so, failing the rep never crossed my mind... plenty of strength there. Doubles were tough as hell as I only rested 45 seconds. Snatch pulls, were tough but thoughtless.

I was thinking earily about how little work I'm doing on these "B" sessions... (lighter press, lighter pull, etc.) Yet not to long ago, this was a volume day and would need a 3-4 days to recovery. Now its the lightest work of the week, done twice. Adaptation!

1 - 4 - 12
Clean & Push Press - 1x220, 1x230, 2x3x200, 3x2x210
Front Squat - 1x330, 2x3x290, 3x2x305
DB Row - 3x20x70 / Jump Rope 6x3 (minutes)

Notes

Slow sluggish session which I attribute to not much food and very little sleep. It'll also take some time to adjust to the 3x week clean/push press as opposed to just my previous 2x a week. Presses were a little weak but cleans were horrible. Garage was 30* and I couldn't feel my hands which made gripping the bar a struggle in and of itself.

Fronts were fine. Stopped increased the max once speed slowed a bit which happened to be 330. Down sets were quick and easy. 5 sets done in 7 minutes. Finished with the DB rows and jump rope supersetted to make things a little interesting. 3 minute jump than 1 arm for 20 reps, etc.

Not the greatest, but all things considered, a good session.

Again... things are falling into place and once thats completed I hope to see some of weight move up a bit. If not, I'll deload and see what a week of low volume will send my way. When I deload I'm thinking of hitting just the daily max on the clean/push press and squats 3 times. No down sets.
