SDS4DS - Cycle 6 - Week 1 - Legs - Strength
Squats - 245x2 - 10 sets
Leg Press - 745x12-12-12
Good Mornings - 125x12 - 3 sets
Leg Extensions - 125x12-9-7

Was loving my squats again today. 10 doubles worked wonders for my mojo!

Pressing was brutal but I forced out every rep, and GMs had me gasping.

Really, all in all a perfect day in the gym!

Fed at the WoodGrille trough for a thorough stuffing afterwards. Yay meat!

Looking back at June, 2011 you were at 190 x 3 x 6 reps.

Solid, consistent work. By year's end you should be around 275, and next year hitting 315 for reps which is about that sweet spot.

I agree. I honestly think part of my recent problem was that I got over confident and hadn't done the reps and gained the strength I needed to press the heavier stuff. I feel confident that slow and steady will get me there by years end.

SDS4DS - Cycle 6 - Week 2 - Chest & Triceps - Strength
Barbell Bench Press - 210x3-3-3-3-3-1-0-0 (16)
DB Bench Press - 55x10 - 3 sets
Incline BB Bench Press - 140x10-7-5
Rope Pulldowns - 7th pin x10-7-7

Benching started out strong, but by the fifth set I was beat! Got a single but the rest just weren't going anywhere. Had a pain in my neck before I started so that could be part of it, this just made it worse.

Right pleased with the DB benching, felt so light compared to the BB benching. Same problem with the inclines, but got a good tricep workout with the pulldowns.
