Good work! Yeah those Deads looked fine to me and they looked easy! I think you've definitely got more than a few weeks of gaining to go on this routine.

Great progress Spart, hope you can find a comp to get into. With your numbers I'm sure you'll do well!

Thanks! Getting there!!

Today was Bench Day

Bench Press
barx20
40kgx10
60kgx5
80kgx4
100kgx2
115kgx1

This one was a bit slower

115kgx1

Felt much faster

115kgx0

Failed

I still missed the last single but I got closer than last week . What I noticed was single 1 and 3 were rough, the setup wasnt good on them and it I couldnt get the feel. Single 2 which felt a lot better, the setup went great, got under and arched, felt good and tight. I think it shows the importance of a good setup.

Here is a video of my first 2 singles. What I did notice is my elbows arent always under my hands. Critique away

Bench
90kgx3x5

I added 2.5kg from last week, felt good. Progression here

DB Row

47.5kgx3x10

Added reps on last set. Next week I use 50kg.

Overall I was happy, progression was present in one way or another. Next week I plan on hitting the 115kg for 3 singles .

Absolutely, your first rep looked very *scrappy* for want of a better word. You didn't get much if any momentum off your chest and had to muscle up halfway, and you immediately racked it.

Second rep was much better, looked solid. It's progress, I don't think we can expect to jump 2.5kg each session, but it's moving in the right direction certainly and that's important. Your back offs are still moving up as well so they will soon kick in and push forward your singles.

115kg x 3 singles next time then and more progress on the back offs!

My hips cramped on my first single as well which sucked, also from bad setup I think. I did some leg swings and they felt better. My bench technique I think needs a lot more work. Just have to keep working on it each week .
