Nice Workout. I can rep out those front squats, but it kills my shoulders(front and back) for some reason. I shall get a sting ray

They really kill my shoulders too. But, my neck gets creamed the hardest.

BTW, I don't own a sting ray yet. But I'm sure they can only help with the shoulder situation.

my biggest pinch is in the mid-trap area, probably related to the neck

09/10/2009: Bench Day

Workout Time: 47 minutes

Workout Grade: B+

Notes: I had little motivation to workout today. My wife kept me up a later then normal last night...when you're 41, that's a good thing.

But, I also felt like I was getting sick. Had a very minor sore throat for the last 24 hours. The kids went back to school last week, so they probably brought home something.

In any case, it was a good workout. I hadn't performed pin presses in a while, and found out that they were more difficult then 2-board presses. I perform both exercises at about the same distance off the chest.

My triceps really got hammered tonight.

Bench Press

240 (75%) x 8 sets x 3 reps (1 minute rest between sets)

Pin Press
(pin 8)
275 x 5
275 x 4
275 x 3

Yates Rows
175 x 7

The last 10 days have been rough for me. I've been sick several days, and spent all of squat day trying to get a dog for the kids. My powerlifting cycle has been somewhat derailed. I trained today, and hit shoulders and biceps.

Something really strange happened during my workout today. On my third set of t-bars I got an instant, and horrible headache above my left eye. I had to stop working out immediately.

I've never had this happen in 20+ years of lifting. I'm going to go sit down.
