Not trying to make you worry...much haha! Just trying to encourage you to keep your goals in mind. The number you hit in the gym is not as important as getting to the meet healthy and hitting your numbers there. It's easy to feel great, feel strong, and start pushing hard for that next number in the gym, but lose sight of the ultimate goal...kicking ass at the meet.
You have great training partners. Some of the best. No doubt they give good advice. Hell of a lot better than mine!

On single ply nationals... not that I know of at this point, but I wouldn't swear to it either way haha.
We're doing Master Nationals, Senior Nationals, and AAPF Nationals I think. Any idea if single ply nationals is part of any of those?

haha you are right Bev! Honestly this weekends squat will be my second attempt. Goal is to hit a 1050+ but you know as well as I do, that all can change fast!

Not sure, the single ply nationals is in Orlando. One of the guys from our gym is going to do it. Thought about if I am healthy just throwing on some single ply stuff and qualify for Olympia and see if I can put up a top 5 total. Long shot, but who knows.

Pretty sure I'm not scheduled for anything in Florida.

Not such a long shot either! There's not that many people who can put up the numbers you are looking for...and they're not all healthy at the same time.
And even for those that show up without significant, nagging injuries, almost anything can throw them off of their best game. Travel, a poor nights sleep, a fight with the wife/girlfriend

how about with the wife and girlfriend? haha jk!!!!

I would only do it if I felt really good and thought I could take a top 3 or so nationally at the time. If nothing else I will be there to help my training partner.

Then the only suit you would need to worry about hitting depth in is the one that you would be wearing to go, oh say, 6 feet or so below parallel in LMAO

Hydrate now.
At even the mildest dehydration the body pulls fluid from it's extremities and into the internal organs. Which is great for keeping you alive and kicking, but lousy for keeping you from getting strains and/or tears.
