Day 7

Squats just didn't feel right today.
Squats 3x5, 1x3, 1x1:
275
295
315
315
335

DB Bench Press 4x5, 1x8:
55
60
65
70
55

Low Pulls 5x5, 1x8:
120
140
160
165
180
120

Skull Crushers 3x8:
60

I have a problem with my squats. I want to try heavier, but I have no one who can spot me at my gym. What can I do?

I have one of those "modern" gyms with plenty of cardio and "light weight to tone" people. All the people who did lift heavy left when their contract got up.

Any advice? Just having a spotter would, I believe, help me mentally on my squats.

Thanks,
FMS

Just make sure you set the saftey bars and go for it, just drop down if it aint gonna happen.

Your workouts are looking great mate, simple and effective. Love it

carl.

My gym has the safety bars, but it's a good inch or so drop because the perfect spot for me is right between the 3rd and 4th hole.

And I really don't wanna be that guy who's banging around and spazzing out like one person at the gym. It was the most ridiculous thing I saw. I thought it was a joke.

My face was O_O and I rarely make faces in text form, but I have no other way to express it. My eyes were HUGE and that's saying a lot for an Asian.

But Carl you're right. I should just go do it. Friday I shall.

My safety bars are low too. You simply have to make sure you practice "dropping down" to your knees on failed reps. The key is really to watch your hands so they don't get crushed.

I need help with Sumo Deadlifts. I guess cause it's I've always been going conventional, but it just feel awkward and I'm not using my legs/hip much.

Maybe I'll cut back on the weight and check my form. Time to Youtube more Sumo DL vids.
