Excellent work on all the lifts Jim, and pull ups become awesome once you can knock em out am I right?

Thanks Randy!! Indeed, they are growing on me like bench has. ( I used to hate bench as well cuz I sucked at it as well lol) I have also heard them be called the upper body squat, along with dips.

Heck yeah, when I was cutting I had several days where I would just go in and do dips and chins, talk about a pump for the mirror lol.

Yeah, there was a champion bodybuilder back in the day, Robbie Robinson or something like that (I'm remembering this from Dan John's book) whose off-season workouts were basically Dips and Pullups one day and Squats Deadlifts the next. He said he could feel his body grow while he was doing petty much just a couple movements a day.

Can't beat killing the main movements. Good stuff Jim.

Indeed, the dips and pull ups are like steak and potato and the squats and deads are like bacon and eggs. Add a side of bench and a splash of OHP and were good to go!

Deadlift sandwiches are yummy - like peanut butter and banana!

Hijack. . .

A lot of old time lifters did that exact same thing. They knew that to really pack on some beef they'd have to put A LOT of work into very few movements. It's something I continue to preach but I just can't get the young ones to listen.

That is certainly the direction I am going into this phase of my training. To the above, I am also going to be doing rows and shrugs and thats about it.
