Thanks Lisa!! I am honored I am the first stop! I am listening to it, which is why I want to compete at the meet. It will also mean alot to me as it will be my first time competing in the Fed the club belongs to. (I was not a member last year at this time, as I didn't meet them until last July)

DEADLIFTS

I have made a pact with my body in that I am going to listen to it no matter what. This is the number one thing I have learned from Steve over the years. It's a really tough thing to do actually, as I have always seemed to have the notion or inclination that I have to push myself to the limit and even sometimes beyond if I wanna get stronger. While this may work for some, it does and will not work for me at this point in my lifting life. If there is anything I have come to realize over the past few months, this is it. One set at a time and be happy with what the old bawd gives me. If I stop fighting it it will most likely stop fighting me.

With that said, what transpired today is exactly what my body was willing to give. The 405 felt too heavy to try heavier, so I backed off. The 315 felt so good, that I rolled with it until it did not. Same thing with the 275 and so forth. Really had alot of fun with this and I feel so well worked but incredibly good, even hours later as I write this.
