The day started off the best ever tho. I had a dream that I was at my high school reunion and a guy asked me about my tattoos. I showed him my Zack Kahn one and then my Franco one deadlifting. Next thing I know I am pulling 500 and I locked it out and refused to let it go. Then I woke up at 7:53AM. Next thing I know my lower back is killing me. I have never had a lifting dream before.

Not sure how squats are going to pan out Sunday. It all depends on whether or not my back will co-operate.

Great work Jim. Sometimes as lifters I think we lose the battle against ourselves, against our own head. The reason I say this is because I think you had the third rep in you and possibly even the forth. I mean that in an encouraging manner, not trying to be a dick or insinuate that you gave up, because I don't think you did. I just think sometimes mentally, it's just not a good afternoon or session for us and it effects our big lift.

Anyway, enough rambling, your bench form looked solid, you will get reps 3 and 4 next time. Great work.
Nice incline work. I am sure you got teh pump in teh chesticles.

Thanks Ravi!! Goal is 3PPS. Minimum really should be 300. Bench is just so unpredictable for me really.

I certainly cannot disagree with this Big J. Many times it's possible to lose focus for whatever reason. It seems this game is like 90% mental and 10% physical. However, I am nowadays winning more of the mental battles than losing them. I do feel I am now more mentally strong than ever, especially after my first 2 meets. Yep, a less than stellar day it was.

Haha - indeed, I got the biggest pump I have ever had. Felt good.

JB'S OLD SCHOOL SEMESTER 6 DAY 2 SQUAT ME

Upon waking this morning I felt like I was 100 years old. I couldn't even put my socks on. I am pretty sure my Facet Joint was out.

I am also pretty sure squats today adjusted it in all the right ways tho because after I was finished, I felt like a million bucks. I am now a firm believer that squats do really can cure anything that ails us.

I had to train in the JimGym this morning because I slept in. I did awake early enough to go to the CrewGym, but I didn't really feel like facing the day at the moment and went back to bed and proceeded to sleep until noon. See - I listen to my body!!

Squats certainly went better than expected. Form held up pretty darn good, with the exception of the odd rep. This is what I was most excited about as I was worried I might have excessive lean. My back felt better and better as the session progressed.

340 X1 I decided to insert this ramp up single as I thought the jump from 325 to 365 might be too much for the back.

This is too strong for a 100 year old guy ... This is some strong a$$ wt. for squat super Jim ... And very very heavy wt for GM ... keep pushing hard brother (you are already doing it ...)
