DEADLIFT DAY

Yay I am finally sick!! Why is this good? Because it's further evidence that my Immune System is normal and thus not attacking any tissue or organs. My body is finally able to catch a cold after all these years.

Tonight's session was quite interesting to say the least. The 460 deadlift flew up like an empty bar. I thought for sure I would then have at least a double @495. Well, much to my surprise it turned into an epic grinder as my tremors decided to raise a little Hell. It was like pulling in an Earthquake. Wouldn't have counted at a meet of course, as left side dipped down slightly and it may have looked like I was hitching, but it is was it is. The name of the log is the good, bad, and ugly - so I have to have/show the ugly ones once in awhile.

Squats, however, were feeling absolutely great. Going from 315 to 365 turned out to be too aggressive, as that triple was a Bitch. The 2nd rep on the 385 triple was dodgy as one knee buckled a bit due to tremors again, and it was really as close to failure I have been in a long time. Just wasn't able to control the knees as well as I usually can.

Deadlifts
Raw
225 X3
315 X1
405 X1
460 X1
Add VG's
495 X1 Well - kinda sorta maybe iffy Vid
475 X3 Vid

Squats
135 X3
185 X3
225 X3
275 X3
315 X3
Add Wraps
365 X3 Vid
385 X3 Vid F-Bombs

Gave that 490 pull by doing 475 for a triple afterwards.

You're my hero.

Strong work Jim,
Wouldn't worry on the 495 one too much, just one of those days, shortly you will be pulling that for a triple

Nice work and videos.
You still got that 495 up, some people would have gave up on that.

Way to come right back with the 475 x 3

I usually follow a so-so W/O with a great one, hopefully you will do the same

Science had PROVEN dropping several F-Bombs helps your lifting in the short term, as well as in the long run....

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Nice work Jimbro! Actually just looked like helacious tremors versus hitching, but yeah a little dip, but who cares, it was training, not a meet

Dropping the F-bomb multiple times in a commercial gym also leads to new gyms haha

Thanks Rich!! The tremors are a disease of the CNS, so maybe my CNS wasn't recovered enough to cause the bad tremors. Dunno for sure. Indeed, it was training and its all good. Like I said to Monk, i sure am learning how not to give up on a lift. Cursing is also endorsed at the crew gym haha
