The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Indeed, about time!! All the technique work should now start to payoff. My technique is always good, with the odd rep of brilliance. Always room to improve, but at least I have all the basics down. There is alot of optimism for my nemesis lift.

SQUAT DAY

Should have known it was going to be a cruddy day when I woke up and it was snowing to beat Hell and I spilled a large amount of my precious last container of Muscle Marinade. I opted to train at home today as it's never a good idea to go driving in the city during the first snowfall of the year, as way too many drivers forget they have a brain and to adjust their driving habits - there are always hundreds of accidents on this day every Fall.

I got nauseated right after the first ramp up set of 115 and absolutely everything felt heavy as a Grand Piano. Still got seem decent work in even tho my form wasn't quite up to my high standards being a form freak. Oh well, shit happens and I am injury and tweak free and will battle on on Tuesday.

Was hoping the 2 heavy singles at 365 and 385 would make some rep work around 315-325 feel lighter, but the old bawd would not be fooled today. It must be on to me!!

I mean you probably are losing lot of energy in incremental wts. of 50 lbs between sets. Try to add some 15-20 lbs more to it. It will definitely be helpful in heavier sets. But again you have to look what could be best for you ... Keep charging hard buddy ...

Thanks Ravi!! 50 lb jumps on the ramp up is already a big leap for me to adjust to these days, as I used to have to jump by only 20 or so. I knew I had to change this awhile ago, after my 1st 2 meets, as at a meet one often may not get a chance to ramp up by only 20 or 30 lbs. Doing so doesn't waste my energy, it is required to prime my CNS. Might be an age thing as well, as you get older I think it takes a bit longer to prime the CNS. It might also be due to the tremors, which is a diseae of the CNS. Who knows, once I adjust to 50, 60 may be in the cards. We'll see!!
