Thanks Seth Funny you should ask. There was something not quite right with my deads this AM. Cannot put my finger on it, but I'm thinking it is because of my back work the day before. Before this new assistance routine, I was still doing pendlays on thursdays, but they were a helluva lot lighter and I wasn't doing 25+ chins. I'm going to move deadlift day to Saturday AM to give my back some rest.

5/3/1 CYCLE 6 WEEK 2 DEADLIFT

Deadlift 5/3/1
(Goal) Actual
(305 X3) 305 X3
(350 X3) 350 X3
(392.5 X3) 395 X7

ASSISTANCE LIFTS

Sumo Deadlifts

255 X10
255 X10
255 X10
255 X10

Badass BB Shrugs

515 X7 PB +10 lbs
515 X7
515 X8
315 X25
All sets were really good solid shrugs - not full ROM of course, but way more than just movement, so I'm really pleased. The last set was unreal - I could have got 30 or more, and they were almost full ROM

Standing BB Curls

70 X10
70 X10
70 X10
It was funny looking at my bar with just 70 lbs loaded on it after having 515 on it just moments before. The 70 lbs seemed like nothing.

I have decided to move deadlift day to Saturdays from now on. It's just becoming too much to deadlift heavy the day after doing heavy Pendlays and 30+ Chins. I know for a fact if I was fresher, I could have done 9 reps at 395 for my money set.

WEIGH-IN AND CARDIO

Weight: 226 lbs
Waist 40 inches

So, weight is down 1/2 lb from last week and 1 lb total for this 2 week maintenance period. Waist is no change. I'm very happy with this as it gives me a clear direction in what I have to do for my cut. It is clear I'm already in a calorie deficit where I will lose 1/2 lb per week. I would like to lose about 1-1.5 lbs per week. Having no seconds at dinner time should do the trick!!! My diet does not have to be modified at all.

Cardio

Elliptical
90 Mins
10.2 Miles
1350 cals burned

Heavy week 3 for cycle 6 on tap. Push Press tomorrow - money set is 162.5 X1. I'm already looking forward to it.
