The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Thanks Alan!! I am not sure - Sunday's squats will be instinctive so it all depends on what my body tells me it wants to do. I would actually like to keep it like Ravi does.

Thanks Al!! You read my mind and that will be worked on. It will come as I get more used to squatting with 3PPS+. I was actually thinking about it during the descent into the hole, but just couldn't muster up the speed this time.

What better way to kick off Dad's Day than with a bunch of squats? Post training feast was a big pile of thick sliced maple bacon and 3 eggs. Then I got cleaned up and spent the afternoon with the in laws. Dinner was all you can eat BBQ Back Ribs at a local restaurant called Montana's. Those of course are my favorite meal. Wasn't able to set a food PR, but came close by eating 2 full rack's with a bunch of veggies.

Squats felt really good today. I didn't plan on a session like this today - it just happened as I listened to my body. Repping the 315 for more than 2 sets just wasn't gonna happen. However, the first reps of the 315 sets felt great, so i rolled with some singles. 365 felt really heavy, but I managed to not think about that after un racking and all went well. I thought depth was just right and I didn't feel any lean. At any rate, these lifts today were a helluva lot better than a week or so ago when I ended up doing some heavy singles and started leaning with the 355. All reps were buried up until the 315 sets.

No need for any accessory work today as I felt pretty beat up after the 20 repper. Ark 3 to the rescue!

Great job on those heavy squats.
Thanks Storm!! The 365 represented my opener a year ago at my first meet. Really pleased about that. 375 will equal my Vegas opener last November, done just before all hell broke loose. Will go for 375 next time!

Thanks Jen!! What a pleasant surprise to see Mrs DZ now a member! I have always been a fan of his lifting - and a great guy to boot! Mrs Squatter is Italian so we have a connection!
