Great stuff again man! I don't know how anyone manages to do high rep squats. I start to pass out at around the 7 reps mark.

CREW BENCH SESSION

Finally, a crew day!

So, you really can teach an old dawg new tricks. Who would have thunk that a year of practicing would finally enable me to remain tight on my bench press. Not just for 1 rep or 1 set, but I somehow managed to not only get tight, but to remain tight for every rep on every set today. The only reason I couldn't do more weight is because I did heavy bench work just last Tuesday - a little oops in the planning department lol. Again, I am using my head this time and chose a perfect weight that i could triple. Today's triples were hard, but locked them out on my own. I did so by really pushing my back into the bench near lockout - worked a charm. The 2 backoff sets were amazing and again I even stayed tight for 8 & 10 reps! Oh, what a feeling!

Sunday is deads followed by squats, just because I can. No crew day, as I have a Italian family function where I will be devouring a buffet at noon. I vow to work up a big appetite.

DEADLIFT/SQUATS

Decent session in the JimGym this morning. The 430 Conventional pull was really close. I was saying to myself "No Misses" while trying to get to lockout. I knew that if I missed I could be ex-communicated from the Church Of Squatterville for breaking policy. I chose 430 because I did 425 X2 last week, and I could have done 3 then. However, I also knew the 400 felt too heavy and there was no way I was going to get 3 reps at 425. So, in order to eke out some progression, I thought I had a legit chance at +5 lbs for 430 with just 1 single. Turns out I was just right. On the 405 Sumo, I had to re-fire the jets in order to get it off the ground. Again, I refuse to have a miss. Form was a bit off today, but I was obviously not fresh enough. Thus, some changes will be made for next time, as I made a sacred vow to listen to my body these days. I might test out doing Sumo's fresh and see how it goes. I might be a stronger Sumonian than I think.

Might also do a deload next week as I have been hitting it hard now for 5 weeks, which is alot for a Dinosaur like me. Haha
