These were all a bitch right from the start, but I am happy with 3 pull ups as I haven't done them in over a year. I suck at them, but this year I am going to rectify that, just like I did my bench in 2012. I will be pulling out all the tricks to progress on them like negatives and rack chins and total reps, etc.

Hammers
10's X 1 Minute (Approx 30 reps) X 3 Sets
I was thinking of JB size arms to get me thru the last 15 seconds.

Post training meal was a baked chicken breast with back attached, raw broccoli, and an avocado with a few blueberries for dessert. This is a typical meal for me - a protein, fibrous complex carb, and a healthy fat. The avocado makes the meal, as it makes eating raw veggies easy and tasteful because of the texture. eating this way also makes for high absorbancy of all the nutrients.

Haha - I'm a bodybuilder now! Well, maybe Powerbuilder. It looks like more than it was as I split up 5 sets in between 2 exercises to get variation and make it more fun. I think it was more of a workout re configuring in between exercsies. At any rate, it was also good cardio built in.

Thanks Randy! That lift has been my nemesis forever, but hopefully I can change that soon.

It took about 80 minutes total. The pull ups took the longest as I have to rest quite a bit in between sets on those. Didn't rest much otherwise - about 60-90 secs and then reconfiguring for each lift.

This is quite a bit out of my comfort zone as in the past I have usually employed just doing triples or fivers and mainly just the core lifts. However, I am enjoying this change for now while I recover. I also have no meets to train for.

I am trying to keep volume in check as I only did 5 sets split between variations of the lift. So, I did 5 sets of bench presses, rows, OHP, and pull ups. Pretty much a push pull session with some hammers thrown in. I think it looks like more when written out.

Nice work Jim!

Did you change plans with regards to the cardio route that was in the offing?

Thanks Babs! Yes, but I would actually still like to reintroduce cardio into my plans some how. I will figure something out, but I would prefer to do it on non lifting days with maybe a bit of abwork thrown in.

Thanks Ben! It's a good change right now for me as I rehab. I still have to keep in mind my lower back as well, so it's mostly lighter higher rep stuff now.
