Great session man! deads looked comfy on the vid. Do you always pull doh with straps? I find I pull heavier with mixed grip regardless of straps for some reason.

Train smart brother.
Indeed OMP, and I hope to keep the good news rolling out of here over the coming months.

Thanks Fen! Any day i can pull a 405 is a good day. Even when I get 500, 405 will still be a big number to me.

Thanks Ravi! I have lost some strength, but ya know what? It is acceptable to me and I am just grateful for being able to move some iron this week rather than sit around.

Thanks Al! I just loved the weekend. The CPU was having their meet and I was able to watch some of it. It's funny how the 2 meets this year are right in my back yard and I couldn't lift, yet last year I had to travel alot to lift. I will be competing next year tho! I just feel it!

Thanks Tom! Yes, I have always pulled DOH with the straps. I have actually never thought of mixed grip with the VG's. I am going to have to experiment with that!

Tried the mixed grip with VGs only last week, didn't like it at all.
My thinking is the stronger you can get double over hand the better, that should lead to a bigger mixed grip pull

Good point Alan. Indeed, I think VG's actually do help with grip and not hinder it.
