Lisa, Gabe, Dave, Ravi, Tom, and Nick - you all sure know whow to lift up a guys spirit and I thank you for it. It's just damn impossible to remain down in the dumps around here!

It sure has been quite the rollercoaster ride with these eyes and even the lower baack for that matter. There were a couple of moments where I thought what the hell am I doing. I know I will lift again. It's just a matter of time. I have even considered lifting despite my eye hemorrhage, since I am going to go blind anyway at some point. However, as usual, you all give me hope that I will be able to lift again if I just be patient and ride this out.

In the meantime, I want to pursue some cardio training soon and train to do another cardio-thon. It will give me a challenging goal to accomplish. It will likely mean I will have to join my old commercial gym again.

It's really going to hurt to give up my crew membership tho. I will talk to Brian first tho, in case he has any ideas. However, I don't know how to justify the expense of belonging to the crew and the gym they train in if I can never powerlift again. At this point, I would be delighted to just be able to even body build and do cardio. Even tho I can certainly do that with them, the dues and membership are coming due in July, and I don't want to pay for something I will not be able to use. We'll see what happens.

I've personally learned a lot from you super Jim ... You are an true example of "How to live the life". I think it is a prudent decision on your side on thinking of your membership with your crew. I do hope Brian has worked out something in his mind for you. Talking to him will definitely help you.

In the meanwhile check out all the options you have related with lifting and start slow when your doc permits. Lifting is not a priority right now stabilizing your health is. Wanted to see you among wts very very soon brother ... Stay positive and healthy ...

Thanks Ravi! Brian is a CPT with many years experience, so indeed he may have a solution that will work and maybe I will be able to keep training with him. Crossing my fingers!

Best Gym Lifts...Dosen't matter....they don't count!

Best Meet Lifts:
Squat = 325
Bench = 210
Dead = 353
Total = 888

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.
