Sounds like your head is in the right place. Never give up but be realistic with your goals. As somebody that has to deal with occasional paralysis from a back injury, it's no fun, don't go there. But that doesn't mean we have to give up our goals, just stretch them out a little further and be more patient.

Thanks Jay! Indeed, this Doc is being much more thorough, which impressed me.

Thanks Ryn! Hey, if you ever want to get together to lift, just lemme know. I have no problems driving to the South at any time!

Indeed, just being able to lift at least moderately heavy, and with a stronger back, is a bonus and I'll take it anyday.

Thanks Lisa! I am still feeling beat up today! I should be good to go tho for squats on Thursday! I think that Smart & Fit Greens has definitely made me smarter!

Thanks Fen! Having some fun with this is definitely going to be had. It's a good thing I am already used to some reppage!

I think it is OR. The possibility of another meet is still there, and I can always do Bench only. However, I am undecided now if I want to do bench only. I think tho that once I get to a 3PPS raw bench that decision will come much easier.

I will most definitely heed your advice tho. A 500 deadlift is still my big goal and I think if I can get to the point of repping/tripling close to 500, then it would likely be safe to go for it, at least once. We'll see!

You could do bench or curlz Haha good work Jim! Looks like you have a very sound and positive approach to your lifting until we get a few more answers. Keep plowing forward and listening to your hot bod

Thanks Alan. Indeed, just the week before the 405 felt like the 430 this week.

I am perfectly fine with triples and fivers or more on deads. It will likely make me stronger than doing singles anyway. I just won't be able to do singles for awhile. I will make an exception tho if I get real close to 500.

Jimbo! Good work, man. Glad to hear all the good news on the second opinion. Sucks that you have to wait even longer, but I'd rather you be healthy than hurting.

Thanks Hitman! I was hoping he was gonna tell me it's nothing to be overly concerned about and to carry on. Wishful thinking I guess. I will most certainly take what I can tho and run with the bodybuilding style of training, and like OR said, I can still strive to reach my powerlifting goals - just will need more time.
