JB'S OLD SCHOOL TAKE 2 SEMESTER 2 LEG DAY

As much of a foul mood I was in yesterday, today turned out to be the complete opposite. I feel like I am on top of the World and going out and squatting 450, pulling 500, running a marathon, and climbing Mount Everest. I haven't felt this damn good in years.

All the intense rehab over the last few weeks is now showing tangible results. The rehab has included many Chiropractor, Massage, and of course The MedX Back Bitch. Additionally, a special shout out to Lisa (I Will) for helping me fix my diet to eat for auto-immune. I have incorporated the changes this weekend, and feel better already. The changes include no more dairy (Lactose) and nightshade plants (namely tomato's, potato's, and peppers) as these items promote inflammation in people with auto-immune issues. I am hoping of course that these changes may also cause my eye inflammation to settle down. Speaking of which, the vision in my right eye has worsened again this weekend, but even that cannot get me down right now.

Thanks to JB for writing a program that is working so well for me. Of course, thanks to all of you for all you do here at MAB. The result of all the encouragement and support is in the vids below and in the months to come.

This upcoming week is full of more rehab as I have 3 Chiro, 2 massage, and 2 Back Bitch appts. Even once I am fully rehabbed I am still going to go for maintenance.

The deadlifts were not only pain free today, but just felt right. They all felt light as a feather. I felt I could have done the 100 rep squats in 2 sets, but I had to get a feel for how my lower back would take the reps on the first set. On the 2nd set, I knew I wasn't going to get 75, so I stopped at 40 which was about half to go.

Squats
Goal was to get 100 reps @135 in as many sets as required.

About 5 minutes rest between each set.

I chose the song "Playing In The Band" by the Stampeders because that was exactly my mom's passion. She has played in bands all her life. Music was her passion, along with helping others quit drinking thru AA. After the lift, I am kissing the medal i won at my first meet last July, and I kissed my mom's picture, which was also at my first meet. I also had her 35th AA Birthday medallion in my shoe. The main reason for this is that the 2nd last thing I told her before I left the hospital the night she died was that I was going to lift at a meet in Vernon. She had a big smile on her face after that. I said I love you and kissed her goodbye.

Amazing work man. Interesting stuff about the food. I would have never guessed veggies could cause inflammation. 100 rep squats huh, i see another challenge in the making.
