I'm with you Jim, my brother has 2 1986 mustang gt's. One is more race car oriented as he turned it into a 9.50 1/4 mile car but missed it so much as a driver that he found a nice one that was still almost stock so he flew to north Carolina and drove it home. Both really nice cars and bothe red and black.

My other brother had the finest 1969 Mach 1 mustang you could ever want to see. Completely restored himself and te paint came out so nice that he now has people wanting him to paint there show cars for them.

My love has always been for Trans am . When the 98 ram air came out and the commercial came on where the Trans am ate the porche , I had to have one . In 2000 I got one and still have it . It's no where near stock anymore performance wise but exterior and interior is like new. I have hot rod in my blood so I could not leave it alone . It's now a low 11 sec quarter mile street car that gets 23 miles per gallon

Thanks Rich!!It has done wonders for my confidence too. I sure surprised the spotter and the guys. Normally, I would have just racked it, but I got mad and said, not again you Bitch, reset tightness, and got 'em.

Indeed - I love the car as much as I love anyone else.

I also used to have an 86 ragtop, but it was a beater. A frined of the family still owns to this day a 86 GT ragtop in mint condition. I love that car as well.

1969/70 is also my fave years for my Mustangs. Those cars were the last ones really to have no pollution controls - all muscle and great style and looks. They were hunks sort of speak. It' great to see the retro look nowadays doing so well and has really revived the Mustangs. Having Carroll Shelby associated with them is really special as well. He's a legend. I met him a long time ago at Watkins Glen in New York State at a Shelby Meet. A day I'll never forget.

JB'S OLD SCHOOL SEMESTER 8 DAY 2 SQUAT ME

For those of you who don't know my history on the forum, formerly at M&S, I have been trying for years to get a squat above 405-420 and a 500 deadlift. I keep getting bucked off the Bronco so often I have permanent bruises on my ass. I now feel like I should ask my Physiotherapist if I can prepay in order to get a volume discount. Once again, my Facet Joint(s) have popped out. This time, during my descent into the hole. You can see it in the vid, when I all of a sudden lean forward.

Everything felt fine up until that point. That is what is so frustrating with my lower back. I just cannot trust it it seems. I never know when it will give. In Vegas, it did not give and I felt I might have been able to pull 500 there. I got thru 7 weeks of JB's program without a problem. Now, once again, it rears it's ugly head right in the middle of my squat.

To say I am frustrated would be an understatement. I thought this time, it would be different. Everything is in place and was coming together nicely, as JB said to me. Every time I approach these numbers, however, my lower back seems to pack it in. I have been trying for 3 years now to get over this hurdle. Once again, I am stymied.

So, once again, I have to collect myself, and figure out what to do to make another run towards my goals. It's my dream and I'll be damned if I am going to give up on them. I can't and I won't.

I reckon It looks like I might have to reset my squats and deads. I'll get David to fix me up Monday. I will also go for a massage. I should be able to do Bench Auxiliary this week sometime, likely Wednesday.

The bright side is that I can still lift. Nobody has told me not to, including myself. I just have to go to what seems Plan Z. Not sure what to do now JB. Maybe go back to week 1 weights and progress more slowly?

On another bright note, I have lost 2.5 more lbs this week. The total is now 5.5 as I weighed in at 229.5 this morning. It's a little too much, so I am going to eat moar. No problem with that adjustment.

Squat
Working Sets
365 X3
390 X2
412 Miss.

thanks super Jim ... Lifter is an exaggerated word for me ... I just try to put things up and then down ... As such there are lots of Indians in Canada. Actually we are everywhere ... stay healthy brother ...

At around 8 seconds into that video your upper body switches from dropping straight down to leaning forward. You can see it in this video as well:
Watch the end of the bar and see how it moves forward in the hole.

Now it could be your back causing you to do this or, my theory, this could be causing your back problems. Either way it's something to look at.

Sux to hit another hurdle Jim, but it will only make success that much sweeter when you achieve it! Get your body readjusted, get the new plan from JB, and hit the ground running my friend
