No, I haven't done any cardio for almost a whole year. My bad. I used to enjoy it too. I guess I got scared that it would be detrimental to my strength gains while I prepared for those 2 meets I did.

Haha - as much as I would like that to be considered cardio, the old bawd disagrees. The most noticeable stat that I haven't been doing my cardio is my resting heart rate. It used to hover around 46-48BPM and now it hovers around 56-60 BPM.

Have you considered the 15:15 KB cardio session, Dan John uses it (or did, last I read of his post; but he uses the 36:36 which is just more extreme in the progression of it), alongside the 5/3/1; so, it obviously shouldn't detract, might be worth a shot...there's a thread on it that Steve started in the KB section.
