For the timebeing at least the injury doesn't change anything: keep smashing, rehab and treat as necessary.

Nice lifting.

The back stuff is bad news, but hopefully it isnt as bad as it sounds. Donnie Thompson has a lot of videos about back injuries on his youtube channel. Maybe some of those stretches would help out once you know what to target.

The lifting was great! I didnt think you would be able to handle 245 off those pins, but I was wrong. I think you will blow past 300 at the end of this cycle. Your arms should have been full of blood when you were done with this workout.

Thanks Alan! It was one of my best upper body sesssions in a long time. I just love to lift too much to even consider quitting. It's hard to believe that I was strongly considering quitting before I joined the forum and met Steve & Al.

I do have some stretches the physiotherapist gave me a few months ago. I am also hoping it sounds worse than it is. Hopefully I will get in to see him soon. In the meantime, I am good to go.

Thanks! It sure was a unique feeling starting from just off the chest at a dead stop. I am really glad I am doing alot of lifts and variations I have never done before. A 300+ bench sure is going to be a dream come true, considering my history with the lift. It sure has been a battle royale!

I have noticed that the blood pumps have been a common theme here. Yes they were, and I don't think I have ever had that feeling before, especially to that degree.

Thanks again JB for programming what is turning out to be an absolute boom to me and my lifting. I just love putting in my work with this. I think your a freakin' genius.

Thanks Rich!! I didn't know what to think of them at the time as it was really unique setting up for it. It certainly tho is great for lockout and for learning how to explode the bar off the chest.

JB'S OLD SCHOOL WEEK 3 DAY 4 BACK ME

JB asked that "I push this" in the notes for this session. I thought deads were pulls. (haha) It then clicked that he wanted me to give the deficit deads everything i have. So I did. I had absolutely zilch left after them.

I did this session at the Crew Gym as I have a key to all the equipment. I wanted to use the deadlift bar and the deficit board. They also have a bunch of heavy ass DB's that I could get rough with.

Squat W/U

Bar X10
95 X5
115 X5
135 X5

Deficit Deads
All sets, including ramps, were on a 2 inch board
135 X3
225 X2
315 X2
365 X1 VG's
405 X5 VG's
405 X5 VG's
405 X5 VG's
405 X5 VG's
425 X2 Raw
425 X1 Raw
425 X1 VG's
435 X1 Raw Grip failing
Knee lockout looks to be questionable on a couple of reps. My grip was failing big time even with the VG's but I just wanted more. Hips also moved first on 1 set so that pissed me off. This was only my 2nd time doing deficit deads so I was quite happy overall with the proceedings. Even the big guy in the background nodded with approval after the last 405 set!

DB Rows
Done from dead stop on the floor.
105 X10
105 X10
105 X10
105 X10
Almost had to hurl after the last set.

GHR Sit Ups SS Double Arm Side Bends
BW +10 Lbs X10/105's X10 X4 Sets

Just before the session, a guy named Mike asked me if it bothers me that the crew uses steroids. I said that I never really thought about it. I simply do not judge anybody WRT juicing. It just doesn't bother me. Everyone makes their own decisions and I respect that. So, the answer was no, it doesn't bother me. He asked because he invited me to participate in the Canadian Powerlifting Union meet coming up this summer. He said he thought i did not juice and he would be correct. He said they encourage raw naturals and would be honored if I would lift at the meet. I have talked to Mike several times before, but never knew who he was. He told me he is the secretary of the CPU. (He is not a member of the Crew) I was pretty happy that he personally invited me to the meet. I of course told him to count me in since it is blasphemy of The Church of Squatterville to turn down a meet!! Heck, I am just as hooked on meets as any of you guys.

Even at the Vegas Meet, I never thought about anybody juicing. I just wanted to focus on beating my first meet totals. Whether or not anybody is juicing or not had no effect on that.

Bring on week 4 JB!!
