Thanks Big J!! I didn't feel like doing heavy work, as I know the Crew will have me doing that on Sunday. Just decided to do as much volume as I could, just in case The Docs were to tell me today to layoff the lifting.

MEDICAL SESSION

This morning was my appointment with the Internal Medicine Specialist. It was to discuss with me what type of Vasculitis I have. This past week I have gone for several blood tests amongst a few others. I was expecting the bad news, in that I would have to go for ongoing treatment of some rare Vasculitis Inflammation, similar to my Eye Inflammation, Birdshot. After all, it was my Immune System going after innocent body parts once again.

Much to my surprise, the Specialist first told me I do not have Vasculitis. I asked him, well then, what do I have? He said he has no idea. I have stumped the Docs once again!! I was now thinking, great, now I have some disease they cannot diagnose, at least for now. He siad, no, you do not have any disease. I asked, well, then, what caused the so called rash on my legs? Again, they are stumped and have no clue. It was not a insect bite, nor any plant contact. It was also not an allergic reaction, as I tested negative for all known allergies. He was reaching real hard for a cause, saying maybe it was mold or something coming out of a bus vent under a seat. He thought that perhaps my immune system was battling something big time or I came into contact with something that my body sure did not like. At any rate, it is gone now. I do still have some swelling that will likely take a couple of more weeks to subside. The redness is almost all gone. I can tell you, as I did the him, that the pain I was in that last Sunday Night is something I wouldn't wish on my own worst enemy. Even Mrs. Squatters' morphine barely put a dent into it. We were very close to calling 911. In hindsight, I wish I did, as they may have been able to identify "it" while the war was raging in my legs. My immune system is so strong, he thinks it would be able to fight off anything that dares to invade my old bawd.

Now for the really good news, if that wasn't good enough. During all the testing they did, and I think they ran every test in the book, they determined that I am the most healthiest person they have ever tested. He couldn't believe the numbers. Every test was not only normal, but perfect. He asked me if I discovered the Fountain of Youth, because I have the internal body of a fit 25 year old. They ran tests on a cellular level and couldn't believe it. Off the charts on every count. All my organs are perfectly normal healthy. He said he wishes he was as healthy as me, and that what I have is priceless. He told me to continue what I am doing, and that I have a long lifting future ahead of me. I was absolutely stunned. It's hard to convey what it feels like to have a Doctor say things like this to me.

All my supplements were examined and determined to be safe. They also certified me as gluten free. My Birdshot has also gone into "remission" and is inactive. He said I have an immune system that is like a big force shield protecting me big time. Here all along I thought my immune system was going to be the death of me one day.

Blood pressure was perfect at 122/79, resting heart rate was 58, blood oxygenation level was perfect at 95, just to name a few stats. Cholesterol, both good and bad, were perfect. No Diabetes. My lungs are pink and have no sign of previously smoking.

Eight years ago, when I quit smoking, went gluten free, and quit drinking all on the same day, I was hoping that some day all the effects of my bad habits would someday disappear and I would be healthy. Doing all of that at once was pure hell, but I made it. I never dreamed it would turn out this well. At the same time, I started lifting again, and got my diet in order. I figured I might as well go for broke, as I was going gluten free already.

This is what I have been working so long and hard for guys, especially with my diet. I literally broke out in tears in his office and I am still bursting with tears of joy. Without our health, we have nothing. I wanted health more than anything else, and now I have it. There are no more words to express what this means to me as I approach my 50th birthday in 1.5 years.

The icing on the cake was that he told me normally, he would be telling a 5'9" male who weighs 238 lbs to lose weight, but he could not nor would not tell me that. He endorsed my lifting 100% and said that combined with my diet, is what has made me healthy today, even at almost 240 lbs.

With all of this news, I am now more pumped and motivated to lift than I ever have been before. I have been given a gift, and there is no way I am going to waste it. Vegas, here I come. This is now the Big Leagues. I am now living my life and am grateful for it.

Good grief. That's an annoying good news/bad news scenario.

Thanks Steve. My health is the foundation for my lifting. Everything else will fall into place.

Thanks Big Al. At my age it means alot because health usually starts to go downhill as we age. I fear being old and sickly like most of my relatives.
