You're certainly living up to your username. Squatter indeed Awesome power being shown. I've not done many RDL's. Would you be able to do more weight on these than deadlifts?

Thanks Kuytrider!!. Good question. I won't test a 1RM on RDL's, but for reps they are really close. My last tested max on DL's is 405, but that was a time when I was having recovery issues. Before that, it was 455. I think it likely around 460 now.

Yeah, I'll say! That's some tonnage moved for sure, everything looked massive of course, I've come to expect nothing less from you. But I'm with Josh in that those RDLs are silly!

And AC/DC blaring made it even more eipc!

Oh, I meant to say too that the shoes take some getting used to, at least they did for me. If you're not careful, you will tip forward a bit until your equilibrium adjusts, so I can see front squats being a troublesome at first. That's just my experience, though. I love the shoes now and will never squat without them.

I'm sure you will feel the same once you get used to them.

Thanks Mike!! Yes, I agree they will take some getting used to. I already feel they are worth every penny as they made me feel confident.

Instead of Oly Lifting, I spent the day in the hospital due to a serious eye problem. I woke up to do my business at 5:00AM and my vision was all blurry and I had these black cobweb like shadows or images in my vision. They follow your eye movement and my vision was very blurry and almost blinded around them. I later found out they are called floaters. They are caused by internal bleeding in the eye as I later found out. Mrs Squatter rushed me to the Optometrist, who insisted we rush to the hospital after examining me. I was examined by 4 eye Docs, the last one being an eye surgeon. I was very fortunate they were all there on Saturday. The surgeon was operating on a 12 year old buy most of the day, but agreed to examine me when done. I am so fortunate to be examined by him so relatively fast. In addition to the bleeding, I have severe inflammation in both eyes that is usually treated with surgery or at the very least injections. He won't know which course of treatment to take until he finds out the cause of the inflammation next week.

So, no lifting for the time being and I am not allowed to work I am actually not supposed to be on the computer either, but I had to take a few minutes to tell you what's going on.

I have to play the age card here, because the bleeding was caused by age. However, in most people, the jelly in the eye separates from the retina with no issues (This is normal as we age), nut in my case it did not separate properly and caused bleeding by my body over-compensating for the damage by creating new blood cells in my eye which then of course burst.

I have to admit, Mrs Squatter and I were in panic mode most of the day. Having so many Docs examine me and my vision deteriorating throughout the day to near blindness was really freaking me out and very scary. I really wouldn't wish that feeling upon my own worst enemy.

Hopefully I will be good as new in the next few weeks. Take care and lift strong everyone.

Sounds really scary. Glad it's something that's going to correct itself.

I once busted a blood vessel in my eye when squatting heavy. I didn't even know it until I went to dinner with friends and they asked me why my eye was red. Freaked me out.

I get those floaters once in a while, shows up like there's an eyelash stuck on my eyeball.

Anyways, sucks to get old don't it?
