Yeah it definitely is. Felt better afterwards. Gonna spend some time with my girlfriend the weekend.
Have a lot of fun at the Arnold's nighttrain and take some photos for those of us who cannot attend.
And I just drove by Frankfurt this afternoon on the highway.

After the unplanned rest day on monday, thanks to german tradition of celebrating carnival (like we're in Rio *shrug*) I'm really looking forward to get under the bar later on. Hope to get those squats up to 130kg despite a lack of sleep this night. But no excuses!

Workout Tuesday 8th of March 2011:

Squats:

Warmup:

20kgx10
50kgx10
80kgx8
110kgx3

Work Sets:

130kgx5
130kgx5
130kgx8

The last set was awesome, I just crushed my PR. 130kgx8 should be a 1RM around 161kg which is more than two times bodyweight. Maybe in the next month or so I should try to go for a 1RM session.

Overhead Press (behind the neck):

Warmup:

20kgx15
40kgx10
50kgx5

Work Sets:
60kgx5
60kgx5
60kgx5

In the last set I aimed for 6 reps but failed. The Overhead Press feels really hard currently at 60kg. I'll probably stay at 60kg for the next workout and try again to up the reps.

Deadlift:
Warmup:

20kgx10
50kgx10
80kgx5
105kgx3

Work Set:
127.5kgx2

Total fail at the attempt to lift it for the third time. I think I invested a little bit into the squats before and had to pay for it. Again next time.

Bench Press:

Warmup:

20kgx10
40kgx8
50kgx5
70kgx3

Work Sets
80kgx5
80kgx5
80kgx5

Will try to go for more reps next workout with the same weight and aim to increase the form a bit more. I think I could have moved the bar deeper today.

Pull Ups:

With a 10kg DB:
8/6/7

8 reps with 10kg was a new personal best but in total I did the same number of reps as last time. So once more next workout and get one or two more reps.

All in all it was a nice workout but I think I was to greedy at the squats. It was not necessary to go all out in the last set and fail at deadlifting because of that. Otherwise squatting is my favorite. It's hard to resist.

Thanks guys. It's really motivating to have a place like this to talk about training and all that stuff and to receive some feedback.

Thanks Carl. I don't know why but squats never feel that hard, can't really describe it. But there is some kind of flow when I do them. It's of course a heavy lift but I don't struggle at it like the way I do while bench pressing, doing the OHP or deadlifting. Deadlifting really kills me every workout.

And my girlfriend ordered me to stop squatting. My jeans don't fit no more. As if I'd do that...

Cardio session today to recover from yesterday:

15 mins indoor rowing
15 mins indoor cycling
15 mins eliptical running thing
= 45 mins solid cardio

Legs are feeling fine and I hope to be ready to squat again on Friday. Thinking about doing a heavy bag session tomorrow depending on how I'll feel.
