Thanks Swede. Best sumo is 215kg's at my last meet at the end of January. I think I'm a good 10-15kg's over that right now. Trying to improve the sumo through speed pulls against bands, Sumo block pulls and conventional pulling.

Well Al, you are my deadlifting inspiration and always will be. Your tenacity to improve all facets of your lifting is contagious. I'm positive you will get your issue with the hip sorted out over time. Your grip strength is outstanding. Total gratz on the PB of 190kg's. It would be sweet if you could pull the same on both conventional and sumo.

Those shrugs are hench and I'm sure you will be hurtin' for a couple of days

Thanks G. Steve and a couple of guys at M&S really helped me fix my deadlift last year. Technique was in the toilet and I couldn't pull much more than a couple of plates without rounding my back to breaking point.

Sumo suits me a lot better than conventional as I have short arms, short legs and a long torso. It also allows me to use a similar stance to my squat and I'm still working on getting more legs into the lift.

WEIGH IN

Last week - 97.5kg's
This week - 94.75kg's

Will I had noticed that I was less bloated and looking less fat. Good times Strength is up massively and fatness is down. Going to up the cal's and carb's a bit this week and try to gently bulk my way up to the high 90's.

Rest day today and my upper back and whole posterior chain is aching from yesterday's session. Speed bench tomorrow.

It's good but confusing. I think I lost some bloat Weighed again this morning to make sure and I was about the same.

Speed bench tonight. Gonna throw in some reverse grip for the first time in a while. Normally doesn't bother my shoulder so fingers crossed!

Never have before. My forearm is throbbing a little from my back being tight after Sunday's pullfest. I have been rolling it with the foam and a hockey ball and have iced the forearm and taken some Ibu. Prevention is better than cure. If I can keep the back loose, I'll be good to go. My ideal would be to get through this 5 week cycle without any major issues then have the physio beat the crap out of my back again on deload week before I start to abuse my body again. I am constantly in pain from training but that's just something to get used to. The trick is to know which pains are normal and fine and which ones you have to be careful of!
