DYNAMIC EFFORT BENCH PRESS

Bar x lots
50kg's x 8
Add red bands (around 40kg's @top)
50kg's x 3
70kg's for 8 sets of 3

Reverse lat pulldown, plate loaded
1pps x 15
2pps x 15
2pps x 10 then another 9 alternating sides. Going for 10 but the old dinosaur arms just couldn't do it

EZ Bar Curls ss Dumbell Skull Crushers
35kg's x 15 ss 15kg's per hand x 10

EZ Bar Curls ss Tate Press
35kg's x 5 drop to 20kg's x 10 ss 15kg's x 10

Bench was good tonight. Arching was a little hard after DL's but manageable. Trying to make sure keep that leg drive going because I think that's where I'm failing on the big weights. It's that leg drive that helps me get the bar backwards and not straight up where I fail because I can't get the delt's involved. NOTE: If you're serious about improving your technique on the big 3, or any exercise, video your lifts.

Love the reverse pulldown machine. Quite a natural movement, great stretch (especially if you have T-Rex arms) and lots of blood into the back. Curls on the other hand are hellish! I cannot curl anything without my forearms getting pumped beyond belief. The dumbell skull crushers did NOT help. They also really worked the forearms keeping the bells in place Switched to the Tate presses which were much better but it was too late by then. Need to work out what I'm gonna do on this. I need to put some size on these earthworms and turn them into pythons. This may well involve me dropping the weights right down or it may involve me losing all patience with this bodybuilding style strict crap and just cheat curling myself to oblivion. We'll see.

Nice benching Big Al That leg drive sometimes is elusive.Consistency with it now is my number one concern as I want my 3 PPS!!

I don't recall you ever being so concerned with your arms before. Mine have grown alot this last bulk doing just the pendlays. chins, and 3 sets of standing BB curls after deads. Have you tried preachers?

Jim it's more the forearm pump/discomfort which is bothering me. Strict style gives me more of this. Now if my arms are growing, i'll stick with it. If, however, they arms aren't growing, I'll scrap it in favour of cheating them up at the bottom and saving my forearms.
