The dead is a very technical lift tim, You have the raw strength to lift more, once the technique is tuned the deadlift number will fly up buddy

^ This is better than 99% of gym rats will every get and is very respectable.

Sometimes I need to only step into a local gym to remember how strong all of us, including Tim (who doesn't think he's strong), are.

Last night while filming Stu Yellin I watched groups of lifters doing anywhere from 65 to 95 pounds on the bench, and a few guys doing 95 on squats.

A 315 deadlift is great! It might not seem like it among forum members, but remember they are a segment of population that is so infatuated with lifting that they spend all their free time talking about it.

315 is a lot of weight. Most every guy we graduated high school with would call us strong.

They are great points Steve, I feel weak (well not weak, but definitely NOT strong) when chatting to guys here, but then I speak to my boss who is a fairy big guy, naturally strong looking and he is amazed that i lift what i do. Im sure he doesnt believe a word of it and Im just waiting for the day he asks me to prove it with the weights out the back

You are a strong guy Tim, we have to remember people like LtL and BtB, Gaspers etc are just freaks lol... they are NOT the norm

The only thing freaky about me is my dedication and determination. I have distinctly average genetics and am not naturally strong. I am, however, very patient and very goal oriented. I set goals, work out a plan to hit them and then follow the plan. This, IMO, is what will lead me to success.

LOL, I don't think I'm gonna make the first rung, ever!! I'll just be extremely happy to jerk a 24kg KB overhead, and DL 100kg...it's a plan

I have no experience of training women (in the gym ) but would expect my standards for them to be lower.
