First session of the new routine

Standing Strict Press
Bar for 2 sets
40kgs x 3
60kgs x 3
70kgs x 3
75kgs x 2 Found my limit
65kgs for 3 sets of 3 Used thumbless grip on these and felt better

Squats with cambered bar and oly shoes and no belt
Going DEEEEEEEP
60kgs x 3
100kgs x 3
130kgs x 3
150kgs for 3 sets of 3
Need stronger quads!

Sumo pulls
No belt
60kgs x 3
100kgs x 3
130kgs x 3
150kgs x 3
165kgs for 2 sets of 3
160kgs x 3 Dropped weight to try to maintain form.

I have some footage of the sumo pulls which I'll post shortly. Today was the first session of the new routine and it was hard! Haven't done any regular strict pressing EVER and the last time I did push press regularly was 2 years ago. Technique started to come back and I'm hopeful these numbers will climb over the coming months.

Squats were horrible. Got to the bottom position and my hips and quads were wondering what the hell was going on. Called the numbers just right on the squats: was just starting to lean forward on the last set as my quads fatigued and my lower back tried to take over.

Sumo pulls were ok. Working on trying to get my starting position right and squeezing the bar off the floor rather than ripping it up and hoping. Sets of 160 next time.

The volume on this routine will climb quite quickly and hopefully my work capacity and the weights will go with it.
