I have a question that you might have answered before, but because I am old I may have forgotten. Why all the water just prior to the meet?

I will post the Vlogs on YouTube and here as well.

I am water loading before the meet to help me temporarily lose a few kgs, weigh in at 93 on Sunday morning before rehydrating to my normal BW to lift.

Think of your body like a sponge. If you pour a little water on, it will soak straight in. If you pour LOADS on, some goes in but most falls straight out. My body is currently flushing most of my water out as it is receiving so much that it thinks it doesn't need to hold onto it. Saturday night I will stop drinking water around 8pm, stop eating, have one whole lemon (natural diuretic) and urinate/sweat all of my excess water from my body to make weight 12 hours later.

At least that's the plan...

OK - gotcha and I understand. The body will rid itself of any water it is retaining because it thinks it's time of plenty and does not need to keep iny in case of drought. Sort of like the opposite of starvation mode.
