Bit of a flat session really. Long and frustrating day at work, gym was empty (just me and the guy working for most of session) and I'm still not going heavy on pressing. Not exactly a great set up for a session but I made progress.

Slightly heavier than last week's speed work. Shoulder felt a bit unstable but improving. All sets were explosive and fast. Good times. Still working on form with JMs but am getting there. Trying to push reps rather than weight as I have a tendency to press the weight more than extend my elbows when it gets heavier. Made progress on crazy pressing. Last set was really hard work. Kept a good pace so the bar is even less stable and by rep 7 it was all over the place. Got a good tricep pump but I'm really looking forward to replacing this with heavier board work again. This day is DULL without any heavy stuff.

High row was a PB and a solid pump. Trying very hard to keep strict form on these. Face rows were awful. I am pi$$ weak at any kind of strict rowing but will get better. Finished up with some arm work. Curls are still very light as I'm cautious with my forearms at the moment. Will go up to 15s next time and see how I get on.

Have a work event on Friday so am doing dynamic lower tomorrow night. Week one of a raw wave for speed squats. LtL Senior (my Dad) has started work on my squat box and it should hopefully be ready for the next wave after this. It is going to be EPIC!

Great light session mate, glad to hear the shoulder is holding up and I'm sorry it was so dull! Looking forward to seeing the box that Senior LtL comes up with! What's the DE plan for tomorrow night then, be nice to finally see you again!

Also, random question - were you doing floor presses in the rack? One of the hooks was kinda busted when I left earlier today and I'm curious if Keleigh managed to fix it?

Yeah the hook is still broken but it looks cosmetic to me. Held up fine under the IMMENSE load of 80kgs including band tension

See you tomorrow night.

Are they similar to Koji presses or are the KBs just slid onto the ends of the barbell?

It must be hard for someone who is used to lifting massive weights to take a brief time out but it sounds like you're working on things that will help you in the long run.
I forgot to mention, I have actually done the floor press (with dumbbells). In one gym, some guy came up to me and asked if I wanted a bench. In another, some guy thought I had fallen off a bench! Why I would continue to (or be in a state to) press the dumbbells after falling off a bench I don't know. What a dumbass
This was about 7-8 months ago.

Still a good session, at least taking it easy now will mean being back to the heavy stuff earlier and in better health .
