It sucks when the gyms full, the intensity drops a bit and you cant do what you want to do.... I agress with steve that the cardio may be having an effect too, but you still hit all your numbers and there is always the next session. Remember this program will catch you out if your not carefull, it almost did with me...

Looking strong though Tim 100lbs O/H followed by those bench numbers is no joke mate... AWESOME work

Carl.

I'm happy I hot all my goals and pushed through. I went in feeling strong. Squats felt great as well but the pressing I really felt zapped on. It was a real struggle but then again I guess it shouldn't always feel super easy. I'm feeling good about my dips though. They seem to be improving with each session.

Pressing is gonna suck for a little bit Tim. Give it some time, and before you know it, you'll be feeling alot better about it.

The cardio is having an effect on your energy. The program alone is a whole new stress for your body, and then your hitting it again with the cardio. Keep an eye on your recovery at this point, as you could easily get behind the power curve, and start a slow negative backward slide on your recovery.

You might cnsider dropping the cardio until you have had some time to adapt properly to the program. It's your call as to how you feel.

I think maybe I could cut down the hour sessions that I have been doing on the in between days down to maybe a half hour and see how that helps as well. Trying a new diet program and new lifting program all at once its hard to tell what is causing what. I still think my biggest problem yesterday was just the waiting around for barbells and benchs kind of left me in a funk.

Thats why I love lifting at home. It would drive me nuts to have to wait for equipment.

Tim, I stopped Cardio while Ive been adjusting to this new routine and now after this week i feel a little under-recovered (prod due to Sundays effort), I know though that you want to lose fat more than i do so you need to find a balance. Dont forget how much enegy this routine calls for...

I think cutting the hour sessions to half hour sessions would be a great idea Tim, you could perhaps do 30 mins MiT and then 4 mins of Tabatas afterwards, they are supposed to be great for metabolism boosting and helping you burn more fat through the day. You could tabata rows (i find them really usefull and accommodating with the rest of the routine) they kick my arse, but in a good way

Carl.
