They wound up closing schools today as the temps were still below freezing at 7 AM. There was still ice on the road when I left for work at 9ish.

Shoulders and Some Arms

Shoulder Prehab at Home
Arnies 25x10, 40x10, 40x10, 45x9
Seated Lateral Raises 20x10, 20x10, 20x10
Dual Cable Lateral Raise 20x10, 20x10, 20x10, 20x10
Reverse Pec Deck 115x10, 115x10, 115x10, 115x10
HS Preacher Curl 55x12, 90x10, 105x10, 105x10
Triceps Pushdown (^ bar) 60x10, 70x10, 80x10, 90x10

Man, the set of Arnies with the 45s really sapped my delts. The DB lateral raises the followed were killer. Had a great burn overall.

Cardio seems out for now. Making an appointment to see my doc as I seem to have one good day with training but am having coughing and sinus draining issues at night. Trying to jog or ride the bike causes hacking. UGH.

Taking tomorrow (Friday off) to rest up and try to get in to see the doc.

They do the same to me. I wish I would have known about them decades earlier

Keep crushing it MC

Arnies are killer. I don't do them very often because I don't want to do any other movements when I am finished with them

Thanks, Babs! I don't know what he can do besides medicate the infection away. I'm getting too older for surgery (and wouldn't let him anyway).

Cheers, Carl! I feel OK most of the time, just not getting decent sleep (meaning I am exhausted) and not being able to run. UGH.

I went to the doctor last Friday. She ruled out sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. She basically said that I had a viral infection that I am not quite over and ordered me to take Mucinex to help break up the congestion in my chest and drink even more water to make it easier to "get rid" of the mucus. So, as of last night I am still coughing in the night and not sleeping well. Deep breaths can still cause coughing as well. UGH.

That said, I trained today.

Back

Shoulder PreHab
Seated Plate Loaded Row 90x12, 140x10, 140x10, 180x10, 180x10 *Alternating wide and close grip
Reverse Close Grip Lat PullDown 130x10, 170x10, 170x10, 170x10
HS High Row 180x10, 200x10, 220x10, 220x10
Shrugs 385x12, 385x12, 385x12, 385x12

And that was it. Was out of energy after the shrugs, so I get up outta there and went home.

Nice work Nard and especially under the circumstances

Have you tried a Vapo chest rub at all ((UK)Vicks style, menthol), that may help a bit at night. Olbas oil, that kind of thing.

I can sympathise with the coughing ansd sleepless nights, I went through it for about a year plus and could get no answers at all from anyone.
