thanks. the chains are set up so they deload almost completely at the bottom, and load fully at the top. Ive had a lot of success pushing past sticking points on my bench by backing off the weight a bit and using chains to overload the lift.

Recovery workout. Preparing for the last week of a circa-max squat cycle tomorrow. Did some stretching, abs, and light pull ups.

Stretching.

Side abs + heavy resistance band x 12 x 2 sets
Crunches + heavy resistance band x 12 x 2 sets

Closegrip pull ups + body weight + 15 pds chains x 8 x 2 sets

Circa-max squat. Today is the last day of a 3 week mini-cycle with low box safety squats. I started off with some easy singles, and moved up to a whopping 405 PR with medium resistance bands. Assistance work included box GMs, pull throughs, and abs.

Low box safety squats (briefs):
155 x 5
245 x 2
245 + medium bands x 2
295 + medium bands x 2
340 + medium bands x 1
385 + medium bands x 1
405 + medium bands x 1 (PR)
295 + medium bands x 7 (PR)

Seated safety bar GMs:
155 x 10
205 x 8
225 x 8
225 x 8

Pull throughs:
Half rack + heavy band x 10
Full rack + heavy band x 10
Full rack + heavy band x 10

Hanging leg raises:
15 x 2 sets
