When its loaded what is the distance from the ground to the handles? I know the difference between my BB dead and my 20" dead is almost 250 pounds. Also the trap bar would be a decent simulator for a car deadlift and a damn good sim for the frame carry.

Unhappy 23/08/2011 tuesday

7:30 AM
woke

10:00 AM approx
Received very, very bad news

11:00 AM
Meal 1 Breakfast
cup home made muesli, with A2 milk

12:00 - 5:00 PM
Manual labour at Nordic Fitness warehouse

5:45 PM
Meal 2
leftover chicken curry & white rice, total weight unknown
500 mls A2 milk with Bushel's chicory mix
9:30 PM
Meal 3 Dinner
MORE home made bacon and beans, total weight unknown

NEWS today is that the government has introduced new legislation on student benefits. I found out when the modest payment I receive each fortnight was not forthcoming.

I called the 13 number, and was told to visit a govt branch to sign some declaration, and then I would receive my benefit. So, instead of making it to class, I sat in a large waiting room for I don't know how long, only to be called up and told I was now on my own financially, unless I filled out and signed a certain form.
I read the form, and I flatly refused.

I have basically been forced to return to work immediately, so I can still pay my bills, and the first job I came by was unloading a 40 foot sea container full of treadmills - their average weight being 120 kilograms.

If I can land a part time job that fits around my lectures and tutes, then I'll be back on track. But it's looking pretty grim. I can either keep taking labouring jobs piece meal and hope I can make enough from one week to the next, or I can put my res back into circulation, pick up full time some finance or operations management job, and kiss my studies goodbye... at least for the immediate future.

Now more than ever, I'm glad for all the lower back training I've been doing this last year. I would surely have back pains right at this minute otherwise. It's a positive.

Good luck, I know the job market kind of sucks right now. Perhaps you could start doing some personal training, everybody seems to be doing it

Good luck with it Abs, in my opinion education is very important and I know you'll try as much as possible to stay in. But you've got a tough call there.

Hope it works out.

Thanks guys. I'd love to personally train people at my home, but doubt there's much interest from the public to train with a morbidly obese, hairy man who looks like he lives in the woods. Oh, and I have no certification. Not that most certified trainers know 10% of what I know. But eh.

My life sucks at the moment.

Good luck Abs!
When things like this happen I try to believe that it will all work out in the end.

Hang tough!

it can be very rough but DONT give up on your education, you are actually passionate about what you study and this is a rare thing.

and love the comment about living in the woods lol

Sorry to hear that big guy, my only advice is to think things through and perhaps talk through your options with your Mrs or a good friend and see what you come up with. I'm not sure of your timescales but try not to rush into a decision until you are comfortable with the direction you want to go. Having said that sometimes the issue is forced and you just have to play the hand your dealt, whatever happens I hope it works out for you.
