I will say seeing him can be odd in many ways. He has that country boy bodyfat that I carry around. Not something we see much anymore, or that is generally accepted either.

Great to hear from you man, it's been a while!

Annoyingly, there is a significant amount of variance on hepburn's routines online. To be safe, I just say I'm "doing a mod of Hepburn's Routine A"

It is Routine A here: Doug Hepburn: Power & Pump Routines ? Myosynthesis

and it is Routine B here: T NATION | Hepburn Solution for Strength and Power

and because he made it easier when he got older, there are those variants as well.

What I'm doing is this.
Power Phase
Start with a decently heavy weight.
First day do 5 singles, each session increasing until completing 8 singles, then move up 10 pounds and start from 5 singles again.

Pump Phase
Start with an easy weight
First session do 5 sets of 3, adding a single rep like so:
session 2: 1 set of 4, 4 sets of 3.
session 3: 1 set of 5, 4 sets of 3.
session 4: 1 set of 5, 1 set of 4, 3 sets of 3.
until completing 5x5
then move that weight up 10 pounds and begin from 5 sets of 3 again.
