Me too actually, first time in forever i have gotten sore there from Deads. Maybe its the high reps? Hammies taking over?

I am happy as hell that my low back isn't sore/tender in the least, leads me to believe i kept "good" form throughout the rest.pause.

when i do higher reps on deads i really start to get sore in my upper back and hammies too, when i did 5/3/1 for a bit, that happened

Thanks man. I kept it nicely short of failure, as i think that was a problem i had with using 5/3/1 for UB lifts.

Also, started light on upper body so i can progress easier/longer, etc.

That being said, i have some "dumb" ideas for lower body days, particularly post Deads!

Also, running front squats instead of backsquats.
