Hang tough. I usually have a real poor session once a month.

I think you did right by pulling back on the volume. No sense pushing yourself when you aren't 100%.

Yeah! Dont wanna get sick and thats the way i'm feeling right now. so back off, some extra vit C and a quite weekend will hopefully do the job.

I while back I wrote an article about shoes vs bare food walking and how it affects posture and possible injury's. So to practice what a preach I bought myself some 'drum rolls please'.

Yeah they are expensive but its worth a try. We were never build to walk on shoes along with that shoes take away lots of propioceptice information which could explain why there are so much peopel experiencing an ankle trauma.
