Thanks boys. It'll take a while to get the rust knocked off, but when I do, watch out. I've found that I CAN go overhead with a broomstick. That might be what I have to do for a while until the mobility comes back. I'd like to know exactly what the surgeon did to mess this all up.

Hey Val. My coworker's Husband flys for the Guard. Yesterday she got to take a ride in the KC-135 and watch as her Husband pulled up for a drink.

hey gl, I'm assuming your friend's hubby flies out of *********, right? Being as ******** and ***** are the only stateside AFBs with BUFFs. I spent a couple of my childhood years as a civilian at Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota. Plenty of KC-135's and B-52's flying out of there then. It was during the height of Vietnam. Now Ellsworth is a reserve base with some B-1's and not much else.

Thursday, 11/18/10

Squat 45x5x3

OHP 20x5x5 - Halleluiah!!! We have a couple of 20 pound straight bars at the gym. A couple of days ago I was unable to lock it out overhead. I did it. I even threw in an extra BTN rep for all my MAB buddies. Halleluiah!!!

DB Front Raises - 10x8x2
DB Side Lateral Raises - 10x8x2
In retrospect, I probably didn't NEED to do either of those exercises, but again it's nice to know I can do them.

Deadlift - 140x5x3 - Nice and easy. I held the bar for about half a minute on the very last rep. I'm going to nurse these along for another couple of weeks, then maybe get more aggressive on weight increments.

Skipped treadmill. It was too close to closing time.

That seems to be what the doctor thought at my checkup a week and a half ago. I'm just glad to have all my lifts back under my belt. Now its time to train. Enough pussy footing around. Gonna ramp this baby up and then take no prisoners. Just like The War of the Worlds when the Martians first landed. Forget about how it ended up, I'm talking about the devastation and domination of when they first landed.

Weekend is here. I was off at 12:30 today, and had a great afternoon at home by myself. Got some serious horn playing done. Got dinner made. Tonight, I'm taking the eight year old to the university women's hockey game. The hated U of M Gophers are in town. She's counting on going tonight to watch an upset. She has hockey practice herself tomorrow morning and again Sunday afternoon. Oh well, at least I get to miss the Vikings/Packers napfest.
